Does stress contribute towards teenage drug addiction?
Some says that we human are born with stress,so its nature.Rich family are the main reason for drug addiction because they have too many money to spend with.Poor family will never touch drug as they care for their stomach more.Too much parental care is also a factor as they set rules and restrict their child’s freedom and also affect ones social skills(declined peer’s offers).
Someone please give some opinion on this phase.thx.
Well I think we all have stress, that has nothing to do with a bank account. People get hooked on drugs whether they can afford to pay for them or not. Poor people steal from others to afford their drug habits. You can be the best parent in the world and your child just gets in with the wrong crowd, at school or at work and then things just go wrong, so I really don’t think parenting has much to do with it. While I think you can have several children raised in the same family, one will get hooked on drugs and the other children don’t. It could be that the one who got hooked on drugs was the particular child that suffered the most abuse in the family. You also have to consider that some people get hooked on prescription drugs after an injury, as opposed to people who chose to give their life to a bottle of pills. It is odd that some children, rich or poor, seem to learn how to handle stress and yet others for some reason never learn to deal with their problems. Some learn to deal with their problems and others deal with their problems with drugs and alcohol, or by cutting or suicide. Once you get hooked on drugs, your family and peers can’t help you, you have to help yourself.
